10/26/17 Lesson 7-Response on " Cross-Cultural Students in the Classroom"

I believe that we all should have an open-mind when we are learning and dealing with Cross-Culture, because it involves different customs, beliefs and ethnicity. We need to be careful to not offend someone's culture or be ignorant.

The best thing about having people from other culture is that in general, everybody realizes that we are not equal and we need to respect that. Besides, there are things about our culture that we are proud of and we can share it and maybe inspire others.

One thing that caught my attention about the American Culture, was the "random actions of kindness". For example, open the door for someone, pay for the person behind you while waiting at the drive thru, make cards, etc.

I love that, in my Brazilian culture, everything that happens is a good reason to invite friends over and have barbecue. If we don't have an actual reason for it, we will just do it to celebrate the day.
